You ever notice...

how certain songs immediately elicit an emotional response from you?

I'm sitting in a lobby before a class and Lisa Loeb's "Stay" (the one that starts "You say, I only hear what I want to...") comes on and I'm immediately overcome with nostalgia. This is an old song, and isn't associated with a particular memory for me, but it does take me back. And the weird thing is this occured BEFORE the lyrics even started. Just the guitar strums at the beginning got my mind going. Isn't that weird and kind of cool? What songs do that for you?
